Audio is transcribed in real time by third-party providers (Deepgram and AssemblyAI). Granola does not store the audio itself; transcripts and notes are kept encrypted in a US-hosted AWS environment.
Live audio is sent to third-party speech providers, and notes are stored in Granola’s cloud.
It does not dictate into other apps, and it is not a general place for thoughts, documents or screen context.

Tyne transcribes meetings on your Mac with no bot and no audio upload, then keeps the transcript in the same encrypted vault as your notes and documents—so ⌥ Space can answer from all of it. The rest of the day, hold Fn to dictate into any app.
On Turbo, Balanced mode is the default. Loom Turbo can process relevant note, document or screen content for supported answers and reports. Local Only keeps new request content on your Mac.
