Meeting notes
PlusTyne notices a Zoom, Teams or Meet window and files what you push to talk into that meeting’s note. It never records the room.
Bigger local models
PlusPlus runs a 7–9B model and Pro the largest your Mac can hold, 14B and up on 32 GB. Tyne checks your RAM first and tells you if an upgrade won’t help.

Your own cloud key
ProFor a language or accent local models struggle with. Off by default; when on, only text goes to the provider you chose.

Insertion
It types like a person, not a stream.
Text arrives once, complete, through the pasteboard and a synthetic ⌘V, so it behaves the same in native apps, browsers and Electron editors.
One edit, one undo
Nothing is inserted until you finish speaking, so the app you are in sees a single change you can undo in one step.
Refuses password fields
If a secure text field has focus, Tyne copies the text to your clipboard instead, and the pill tells you so.
Refuses while you hold a modifier
Holding ⇧, ⌃ or ⌥ turns a paste into a copy, so a stray shortcut never fires with your sentence attached.

The vault
Your notes stay yours.
Captures go into one encrypted database on your Mac. No sync server, no cloud index, and a key we never see.
Routing that explains itself
Say a note’s title and the capture goes there. Otherwise local search picks the closest match, and anything ambiguous lands in today’s daily note rather than nowhere.
Daily, meeting and weekly
Daily notes by default. Meeting capture records only what you push to talk, never room audio. A weekly digest collects the week’s captures and action items.
Encrypted at rest
Everything lives in one SQLCipher database, vault.enc. Its 256-bit key is generated on your Mac and kept in your Keychain.
Redacted before indexing
Credential shapes, such as Stripe, GitHub, AWS and OpenAI-style keys, JWTs and private keys, are removed before a capture is written or indexed.
Search that stays local
Full-text search and entity lookup run inside the encrypted database. Nothing is indexed on a server.
A receipt every time
“Saved to …”, “Meeting notes saved to …”, “Saved · redacted”, or the exact error, shown in the pill so you know where it went.
Routing is lexical rather than semantic today: explicit destinations need a known title, not a fuzzy one. We would rather say that than let you find out on your own notes.
